Three Generations of Aguirre and Chadwick at CSDR

There are several families with three and four generations of going to school at CSDR dating back to the 1950s.

For this article, the Chadwick-Aguirre clan has a story here. The first family member arrived at CSDR in Fall 1953. His name is Ronald Chadwick, ‘58, from San Diego. After five years of academic studies and vocational training at CSDR, he entered the work force at the Naval Yard on 32nd Street in downtown San Diego where Navy ships get maintenance service. He met a new wife there and started a new family. Their child is Sonia Chadwick, ‘86, and received her education away from home at CSDR.

Mark Aguirre, ‘76, came to CSDR to start in the Lower School in 1963. His younger brother, Daniel, ‘78, came later. After 13 years at CSDR, Mark landed a steady and union job with the US postal distribution facility in Northern San Diego where he worked for 37 years and retired in 2020.

Mark and Sonia met in the 1990s and moved to Perris for a new family. Their son, Wayne, ‘17, followed their education path at CSDR for his entire K-12 education and commuted to Perris the whole time.

Now Wayne has two children enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at CSDR. This marks the third generation of the Chadwick-Aguirre clan at CSDR.

It remains to be seen if the two young Aguirre children will carry the family tradition for their future children obtaining education at CSDR in the 2040s.
